Australian Paramedical College (APC) is thrilled to further expand our partnership offerings in Aotearoa New Zealand, now joining forces with Pro+Med New Zealand Ltd in an Industry Partnership. In another ground-breaking announcement, this partnership is expected to offer students and graduates of APC the chance to conduct Clinical Placement, plus gain employment.

Get to know Pro+Med New Zealand Ltd

What is a Category Two Education Provider?

In New Zealand, education providers registered with the ‘New Zealand Qualifications Authority’ (NZQA). Each are categorised into four categories based on their performance. 

With four as the lowest and one as the highest, individuals can rest assured that the training conducted within Pro+Med New Zealand Ltd is of significant quality, and allows them to be confident in their skillsets upon graduation.*

What does this partnership bring to the table?

This partnership is going to be offering HLT51020 – Diploma of Emergency Health Care students the opportunity to conduct their Clinical Placement with Pro+Med New Zealand Ltd, plus the chance for employment at a later date too. 
*Please note APC’s HLT41120 – Certificate IV in Health Care can only be studied by Australian residents.

Clinical Placement

Clinical Placement is essential to a student’s success. This experience takes students into real-world scenarios under the direct supervision of qualified healthcare professionals, as outlined by APC. 

APC’s Diploma and Cert IV students can have the luxury of choice when they choose Pro+Med New Zealand Ltd for their Clinical Placement. Placement will be permitted across the entire country, allowing students to pick and choose where and when they would like to complete their hours and skillsets. 

During Clinical Placement, students could expect to attend numerous high-acuity patients at events such as motocross and racing events, jet-boat racing and more. 

Employment as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Not only does this partnership join forces between Australia and New Zealand through its Clinical Placement offerings, but employment too. 

As a graduate of APC’s HLT51020 – Diploma of Emergency Health Care, individuals have the chance to apply for Pro+Med New Zealand Ltd’s recruitment drives to later fulfil paid positions as Emergency Medical Technicians in New Zealand.
