Paramedical Trainer and Assessor
Meet the APC Clinical Education Team: This is Jens Hojby, trainer and assessor with Australian Paramedical College.
Jens started with APC in 2018. His role is to assist and assess students through the clinical workshop practical exercises and the theory component of the Cert III, Cert IV and the Diploma (links below).
Prior to APC Jens worked in surf and sea rescue services, particularly in helicopter rescue. He was a trainer and assessor with the National Sea Rescue Institute in South Africa. Once he emigrated to Australia, Jens was a trainer and assessor in ACT for about five years before relocating to the Gold Coast Queensland to begin working APC.
Jens particularly loves the hands-on approach of the clinical workshops. He loves watching students working in teams to resolve many of the simulated medical emergency scenarios they are assessed on. Every scenario is designed using real-life experiences our graduating students will come across when working out in the community.
