Volunteer Ambulance Officer Commitment Level

Alan Hawke, APC Diploma Graduate

Changing Lives Podcast

In this video, Australian Paramedical College graduate Alan Hawke discusses the commitment levels required to be a Volunteer Ambulance Officer with the South Australian Ambulance Service.

The volunteer ambulance officers are required to commit to 30 hours per month, which is generally one shift a week. On top of that they are required to attend training once a fortnight.

This experience allowed Alan to really refine his clinician skills and experience. He completed 1,400 volunteer hours last year.
